Nice one Tas-man and happy anniversary! Lot's of nice waterfalls along that circuit. I saw a black dingo on the track last time I was there. No more than 5 metres looking down at me from the switchbacks.

... plans and they have designated "remote bush camps" which require bookings on the QPWS website. Also keep in mind some parks, like Lamington, have seasonal camping closures to allow for regeneration. Some parks, (e.g. Springbrook) prohibit camping entirely.

... Parks & Forests say "Bush camping (with few or no facilities) is allowed in some parks" but finding those parks is a job-and-a-half. Unfortunately I believe that the guesthouse is no longer trading. I heard that after a run of unpleasant tenants who trashed the place the owners got sick of dealing with the dramas.
I’d love to do the walk from Rat-a-tat to Lost World, it’s been on my list for a while.
