How would the clothes get into heaven? They don't have souls. Shoes might get in on a technicality.

Francis told him in a recent public appearance on St Peter's Square that "paradise is open to all of God's creatures."

The problem though Corvus, is when adults pretend to know that which they don't, and present those beliefs as fact to children, it has consequences to the child later in life.
There are ways to comfort a distressed grieving child without pretending to know that which one does'nt, and in the process teach them something real.
The consequences can lead to Religious Trauma Syndrome.

+1. For whatever view one has on religion, the church in Rome is not going away. For the size of followers worldwide, the current direction is positive for the them as well as the society at large.
