Short Film - Danny Macaskill conquers Cuillin Ridgeline

Fri 03 Oct, 2014 8:17 pm

I do not even own a bike but this short movie was pretty cool - Danny Macaskill: The Ridge.

"...where he returns home to the Isle of Skye to conquer the notorious Cuillin Ridgeline."

It is mainly on a bike but there are a couple of bits where he walks.

I have not been to the western arthurs but the scenery does not look to unlike the photos I have seen on this forum.

Danny Macaskill is an amazing rider. His videos are always worth watching.

Along similar lines, have a look at this Martyn Ashton.

I did not intend to encourage it in the Western Arthurs even if it was lawful which it probably would not be: http://www.austlii.edu.au/au/legis/tas/consol_reg/nparlr2009399/s21.html

Hammocks is another interesting question (reg 4(4)):

I think he is unable to move his legs since an accident last year.

Danny Mackaskill's stuff is brilliant, and terrifying. I've mostly seen the urban vids he does but this one is amazing.
Didn't think he was injured though, are you sure? I'm inspired to get the MTB out for a spin today but it will be a relaxed, albeit brisk, and hopefully safe, run through the bush.

I checked; it was Martyn Ashton who's injured.
