Yes, he's been missing for seven years, but the police releasing a press release yesterday means they think there's someone out there who knows something and who is ready to talk. They're shaking the tree to see what falls out. They often do this with cold cases. A lot of articles in the Good Weekend in the Age/SMH are based on this kind of thing.
