Whose scat is that ?

Postby Franco » Mon 15 Aug, 2016 10:30 am

More scat from my backyard.
This is about 15cm long, much larger and a different shape than the one produced by Wally our semi resident wallaby.
No hair, some bits of straw visible.

Looks also much larger than the one a fox made and it is very green...

My initial thought was dog but not sure about the straw.

I think I'm with Strider.
You haven't found it on the side of the Overland Track have you? Unfortunately I have.

I get plenty of Wallaby scats( up to five some times) on my Front Lawn every morning and whilst that is a largish amount it looks the same colour and texture and it is OK lengthwise so I suspect very fresh wallaby, what colour does it turn when it dries?

No, it isn't human, not even from a grass and seed eating vegetarian.
Could be wallaby because it is right in one of the areas we see Wally (our roaming wallaby) but I haven't seen before one as big as that from him.
It remained green for a few days, I haven't looked since.
