Is search broken, or am I doing it wrong?

I've searched for 'Mornington Peninsula Walk' and it returns the following results

Why aren't these two threads shown?

Google is your friend.

I can't help as to why this sites search isn't doing what you want but try putting this into a google search...

I think the part of the site that indexes new threads had crashed again.

Usually a reboot by Matt fixes it.

It could also be an entirely new problem.

+1 DanShell. I often can't find something using the BWA search, but can get it by putting the same thing into Google.

Hi all. Sorry for my slow response. I have been out of action a bit lately.
I can see the issue. I have now made it worse :)
The search database is way out of sync with the forum. I think I see the cause. So I have deleted the old search index and the server is rebuilding the new one. This is likely to take a few days.
This search - when working should be fairly fast and upto date. Google is smarter, but in theory at least this search should be more update.
Let's see how the index rebuild goes.
Thanks again
Matt :)

If you're not finding what you need on the forum search, remember that you can do a site specific search on Google by typing this in the Google search:

Your search terms site:bushwalk.com

site:bushwalk.com focuses the search to this domain only.

Yeah -- done -- the full DB is now indexed and the search looks much better.
Hope it stays in sync now.
