Photo re sizing

Sat 14 Mar, 2015 7:27 am

Hi Matt,

Some forums have an in built photo re sizing "engine" which is really handy.
Basically upload your chosen file and the "engine" takes over from there.
It would be handy where someone wants to post but has no access to suitable software at the time (such as I have now). :D This wouldn't change the possibility of links to external sites.

Any thoughts or to much of a PITA?

Have you seen Portable Apps: http://portableapps.com/. Lots of applications that run off a usb stick including graphics programs, no install required. Very handy.

Cheers,
Michael.

You can also resize by uploading the image to postimage.org and selecting the size you want in the drop down menu.

OK Michael.....(yikes  2 Michaels replied) but the auto resize thingy is grouse if you don't want to demo your photgraphic skills. If you do then a link to say photobucket for example is the best.
Thanks Michael, it looks pretty simple, I'll bookmark that one for future reference.

I have used http://imgur.com in the past, it seems to get the job done.

Hi Neil

It is a good idea. These other suggests are good, but I think you are right we should have something cleaner built in.
I have a bit of a back log of work that needs to be done on the site - but will add this to the list.

Thanks

Matt :)
