The trouble is that it isn't; by todays standards; a lightweight tent and it isn't really strong enough for winter above the snowline.
Also as a design it isn't as good as the tent it replaces. The original Firelite was a very good tent, as was the original Sierra Designs Flashlite
I am interested tho in which tent you bought as a replacement
Ve are too soon old und too late schmart

No its not as lightweight as a lot of tents on the market but its a lot cheaper too for what is still a good quality tent. It is a little heavy due mostly to its size. Its called a duo but three people would sleep side by side in it with enough room still at the top for a pack or two. As far as two person tents go it has a lot of room to spare. to break it down the poles, pegs and ropes come in at 610g. The tent and fly are 1755 (I know its a little more than the 2.2kg, I got that from another website).
I am replacing it with a Bearpawwd pyra tent and a pyranet2. I really would have liked a MLD cuben duomid but I a afraid I am a little low on fun tickets
Anyway if anyone is interested I would take $165 which I think is a pretty good price for this tent especially considering that its never been slept in.

Hi,

Is this tent still available? I am looking for a 2 person 3 season tent...lightweight and okay for walking in our supposed warmer months here in Tasmania (which really means you need to be prepared for anything). I have heard this tent doesn't have a lot of vestibule space but since it's only myself and my 10 year old son we should be able to manage that. I was going to check that if had two doors and if the outer fly on both of these can be tied back, just in case we need a cross breeze (some older reviews of this tent said only one outer door can be tied back).

Thanks :D
