FOUND TAS Camera - Western Arthurs

Postby trmj » Wed 22 Mar, 2017 9:04 pm

Found a Fuji camera on the Western Arthurs, in the scrubby section after Crags of Andromeda before lake Rosanne.
Just has a quick look before the battery went flat, looked like a walk from late Feb to last photo on 4th March. Found on the 11th March.
We walked on after the Western Arthurs and did Eastern as well so didn't get to check log-book at Scott's Peak.
If you are missing this camera leave a reply and I'll give you contact details.

If you can get to the memory card maybe you can post an image or two. Also maybe post one to this site.

Good suggestion Phil. Took me a bit to figure out how to open it .. but got the memory card ok - most are pictures of the scenery but a couple of people - looks like a party of 3 walkers.
Anyone recognise someone here?

trmj, I lost a Fuji camera in the location and dates given. The photos are of people I hiked with.

When I realised I lost it, when I reached for it to take a photo of Lake Rossane when we emerged from the scrub. I backtracked, but obviously not far enough

I left a note in the book at Scotts Peak, but you did not return that way. Please contact me via PM.

Bit new to this form of communication. The camera you found is mine. The photos are of the party I hiked with. You can contact me on kerry.cramer@mortgagechoice.com.au

That's great Kerry - I will email you.
I know just what it feels like to go take a photo ... and 'oh no - no camera'!
I had a period of 4 extended walks where on all 4 i got to the end (or from the beginning on 2 of them) and didn't have my camera (mobile in my case)!
So hopefully this trip - starting with 1 and coming back with 2 cameras is a sign that things have changed for me:)
