[WTB/WTT] Mesh Inner for Tarptent Notch

Postby BMo » Fri 03 Nov, 2017 1:16 pm

Hey guys,

I purchased a tarptent notch on here recently which has been a fantastic shelter. However, as I will be doing a lot of desert hiking next year (PCT thru-hike) the solid inner that my notch came with is not going to cut it for ventilation.

If anyone has a mesh inner that they are looking to sell and/or trade for my partial solid interior please let me know. To clarify, I'm only looking for the inner nest portion of the tent as my fly is still in top shape.

Thanks.

The partial solid inner is actually pretty good for the desert.

Read this: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=9960

PCT doesn't look like it gets that cold at night but even at 10-20c the solid inner won't be an issue. The solid inner also blocks dust/sand from being blown all over your bed.

Hey, I think you might be right. I'll likely just persevere with it as buying a new inner is prohibitively expensive.

As long as it stays below 25C at night it won't be the end of the world.

You'll also appreciate the solid lower section when you hit Oregon and Washington and spend a month in fairly wet weather.
