Moondog55 wrote:I'm having another clean-up and destash having decided on a family tent for Glamping etc
Lots of spare adjustable tent/awning poles and 25mm LW aluminium tubing here for pick-up as well as some larger guy ropes of the old fashioned kind with wooden adjusters
Old fashioned 6*8 canvas tent with heavy vinyl floor [ this has a 6 foot ridge so good sized for 2 people] needs repairs to some small holes but still serviceable; would suit storage at a camping ground or as a kids play tent in the back yard

The capacity was fine for the purpose but it is far too short for my back…would suit a women with a 16-18 inch back I think (I'm like 20.5'). It's a little grubby but the picker upperer can give it a wash. All the parts are still in working order, e.g. - buckle, straps, zips, pockets etc are all fine - I'll try and attach some pics of mine from my phone - but here are is the product in it's ad form: http://www.backcountry.com/the-north-fa ... They have a big community and they have a permanent thread where they share gear on a pay-it-forward basis, the recipient pays postage only and gets the gear for free, the only requirement it that the last recipient has to put something else up on the site and send it on to the next person.
I am doing something similar for Andrew with a couple of pair of old and cheaper gaiters, so in a way I have already started.
(BTW Andrew i am still looking for pair # 3 on;y 1/2 5he pair so far )
I think it is a good idea if we can trust each other and postage costs can be locked in as there are the fixed price satchels at 3 & 5 kg
Any thoughts on the matter, obviously we all have stuff that we don't use, too good to throw away and not worth selling on ebay.

Relaxing at home after having done Cope Hut to Pretty Valley>Tawonga Huts>Dibbins>Blair>Ascend Diamantina Spur>Feathertop Summit>Fed Hut then exit via MUMC Hut & Stony tops. Fun water crossings, almost vertical sections and many false summits !
Alone, I might add, over 4 days. I am accustomed to walking these kind of walks alone often, in all seasons.
I recovered quickly at home, but alas my boots with lots of mileage are showing their need for replacement. I am a EU44, UK9.5 or US10 in men's boot as they are more flexible with my foot profile.
jdeks wrote:Anyone want a sleeping bag liner?
It's black, made of real silk, has a pillow pocket, and sized for someone about 5'10 of less.
I do the quilt thing now, and the liner jut gets in the way.
Chip me $5 for the postage and I'll send it wherever in oz
