TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

tent pole replacement

Postby brett70 » Sat 16 Jul, 2016 3:29 pm

Hi
wondering if you know of a good place to get tent poles made up. I have a 4 season mountain hardware trango 2 tent (1998 model) that needs a vestibule support (I lost it!). Mountain Hardware in the US recommend tentpoletechnologies.com as their source for replacement parts. Anyone know how to either make them yourself or an Australian company that does these type of lightweight poles? Thanks

Gday Brett,

What length of pole/s do you need?
I have a few sets that may work for you.

Cheers

John

Thank you, thank you :) Trying to replace a cracked pole for a friend who has an older Kathmandu tent, and I wasn't having much luck finding 9.0mm pole sections easily. Was about to go through the hassle of trying to get some from China, but now I don't have to worry!
