TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Down at Dimmeys

I had to kill sometime in Ballarat today (power cut for maintenance at home) so looking around I spotted Dimmeys.
(free parking in that square...)
There I found some ladies and gents UL (or at least Light...) down jackets somewhat like the type Aldi and Uniclo sell.
Not sure about size and fit but they are $30, some decent as well as some horrible colours , they come with a pretty small stuff sack.
I am guessing the weight to be around 250g or so, not sure...
Maybe worth a look if you have one of those stores around where you are.
