So many people these days seem to shudder at the thought of spending a night out bush in a shelter without a sewn-in floor tub or sewn-in insect net.
Specifically, what would be your concerns about it?

I've done a few LW bivvy camps with just a fly and a groundsheet......got the bag invaded by a bunch of huntsman spiders one night and the next trip it was heaps of little black stink ants. So for me....a fully enclosed tent is the go but if you want to get really close to nature....or rather have nature really close to you then just sleeping under a fly will probably achieve that. Cheers
