TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Insulated Water Filter Bottles

Postby Tassie Tiger » Fri 06 Jan, 2017 11:56 am

Lovely sunny day in Hobart. Off for an early morning walk in the morning and just getting some gear ready. I have two plastic sport type water bottles that while adequate for shorter walks or, to have on the desk at work, I find are really not suitable for longer walks ie. they don't keep the contents cool/cold.

What recommendations, ideas, thoughts do members have on what might be a better solution?

It would be good to get something that will keep the contents cool/cold for an extended period and also provides a quality filter for refills on route.

Have started Googling but would appreciate some real life experiences/reviews of bottles rather than seller hype.

Cheers
