TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Looks like a big improvement on their previous versions and should actually be pretty warm with 15oz of down. Still not super cheap by the time you factor in shipping and the exchange rate so you'd have to really want a half bag.

It's 50% more down than my Tamarack and a lot cheaper as Western Mountaineering never discount, also cheaper then the Patagonia half bag
Agreed not supercheap but they have an alternate use [ as discussed before] as good winter kids bags and you know I favour half bags plus duvets to bolster LW sleeping bags. Would go very well with an oversized quilt for winter too.
Current exchange rate is the best it has been for a while too.

I think the thread title needed a proviso - "Good deal here if you want a half bag" :)

Moondog, you seem to be a cold sleeper.

Have you tried down trousers and down jacket ( and maybe down booties) under a decent quilt, with a down sleeping mat?. I reckon I'd be good to -10 in this, which is about as cold as I've ever had in OZ.

Down pants are also useful outside of sleeping, for loafing around before bedtime, as distinct from elephant's foot bag which has no use outside of sleeping short kids, or random bivvies with down jacket, which I would rather do in down pants and jacket inside a bivy bag.....if it ever came to this, which hopefully it won't.

I think I have mentioned several times that I sleep about 5C colder than most people, but also I plan on going back to the US and Canada for a boreal winter before I die.
Tried the down pants, a half bag I find much warmer for the weight, the old style half bag with the drawcord foot was good for wearing around too
I used to sleep warmer when I was younger but not by much, also my bag is only rated -4C without the down suit inside it and it gets a lot colder than that in parts of Australia in winter
