TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Trouble with a Macpac Microlight

Postby Michaelpav57 » Wed 29 Mar, 2017 8:38 am

I have just bought myself a Macpac Microlight tent but am concerned that I can't seem to make the mesh inner tent nice and tight. At present it sags badly and restricts my movement significantly. I have tweaked in every way I could think of but haven't been able to make much of an improvement. I have already used silicon on the seams so would have trouble returning it.

Does anyone have any tips for me on this as it is very frustrating.

Good little tent Michael
but old design and saggy and tight at the best of times.
Perhaps a badly manufactured example,
take it back and exchange

take it back, sealant on it is irrelevant, especially if its a new tent. stand your ground with them, i've had to a couple of times to get them to honour the warranty. been a while since i've used mine, cant say i recall problems like that when i used it and i didnt have to pitch it twice to resolve any issues..... you cant have the inner sagging on a tent that small, its pretty minimal on space to start with.... they usually say they have to send it back to somewhere to get it examined, hopefully they'll just swap it out if you still want one...

Hello everyone who replied
All sorted! Thank you for your advice. Macpac Fortitude Valley Brisbane looked after me and refunded my purchase price.
