No cook/cold soak bottles?

Hi, just wondering what watertight containers you use for no cook cold soaking?

Are any UL titanium leak proof cold soak jars between 600 and 1000ml (which can double for a small solo cooking pot) available in Australia for trekking?

The only thing I can think of like this is the Vargo Bot.

Specs here: https://www.vargooutdoors.com/titanium-bot-bottle-pot.html

I've been using PET jars that Kraft put the peanut butter in to soak my oats over nite, I don't think those leak
I'll trial one overnite on the sik for you as soon as this one is emptied

There is also BOT 700, they look interesting and there are some in depth reviews on trailspace

There was a deleted posting about this, the person used the illy coffee tins common in supermarkets.

Thanks Moondog! It would make sense that a peanut butter jar is leak proof as they can sometimes get a layer of oil on top. A perfect size and weight for cold soaking overnight!
I sometimes used a heavier cistema 1L jar for overnight soak of nuts and seeds but when I was pushing the barrow I cared less about size and weight.
Please let me know how your experiment goes (:

Thank you kitty!
Very similar in appearance, weight and price to the snowpeak 900 titanium trek set but with a screw top instead of little pan lid. Slightly cheaper lighter option than the 1L.
I'll check out that coffee cannister first (:

Thanks Neo!
I'll check them out. Now I think of it I have seen similar screw top tea caddies too. I wonder if the metal is safe for cooking with, I've been advised to avoid alloy.

I use a Multix screw top container weighing 47g and has graduations up the side. You get them in supermarkets in a pack of four for a few dollars. I am not totally convinced by the seal if the pack was dropped badly from a height but so far so good. It also doubles as a mug and breakfast bowl.

I've got an illy coffee can here.

The coffee was ok, a bit fine for my ss moca pot, i prefer a medium grind.

Holds 850ml full to the brim.
A boil test using a Soto Windmaster indoors half flame with 600ml of tap water:
Took a good 4-5 minutes for bubbles to form inside. At 6 minutes, close to a rolling boil.

The lid has a plastic screw liner, could use as an upside down lid for boiling efficiency.

Not sure if it's leak-proof but would be fine for soaking if you keep it upright in your pack.
Looks nifty with it's silver and red paint.
Its basically a tin can with a screw lid. No plastic/bpa lining that I can detect.

Pot and lid weigh in at 127g, cost about $15 with 250g ground coffee which = 4 bought coffees and a free hike pot (plus more cuppas).

And no, unfortunately it doesn't fit a mini gas/jetboil 100g canister inside.

And the Soto Windmaster with the 4 prong trivet weighs 86g.
Love my kmart $16 ss scales!
