TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

OK MD - I'll trust your research to separate something worthwhile from all the chinese crap :D

I have ordered two. Currently I use a silk balaclava, so we'll see how something bit more substantial works for me. I find that in many situations, using the silk balaclava allows me to have the bag hood loose, which for me is more comfortable than all tied up tight.

Mine arrived today.

I have no idea what the material is, but has MD said, they carry a Gore swing tag. Mine are labelled L, which seems correct, as they fit my fat head.

One will be night attire, and one is definitely going in my day bag. Weighs approx 18g more than my silk balaclava and feels more insulative -time will tell.

Cannot fail at the price :D Thanks MD.

Does it fit over the silk?
I think the seller has a few left as I saw the item a few days ago.
Imagine being the Chinese manufacturer who deals in minimum orders of hundreds of thousands of units and getting to the end of a production run only to discover that they have cut the wrong fabric.
The fabric itself feels like my OR liner gloves so it should approximate Polartec 100 single sided

Easy fit over the thin silk. Never even thought of layering them :D
