Getting stains out of white 'outdoor' wear

Hi!

I have two white shirts - a Kathmandu one and an Exofficio one, both 100% nylon - which have both stained quite obviously after only a few wears. It's mostly around the collar/neck area and I assume it's from sunscreen and sweat as I usually wear them out in sunny/hot conditions :?

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for getting the stains out? They haven't come out in normal washing, and I've tried both soaking and spot-treatment with NapiSan but this hasn't really made any difference.

Thanks for any advice :)

I'm a cook so I am very familiar with this problem
Napisan and soak for 2 to 3 hours before washing usually works so try Wondersoap rubbed in to the effected area

I once worked in a hotel where one of the guys washing the dishes (cleaning plates and pots and loading the machines) was always dressed in full white uniform ( including socks and shoes) and he was always spotlessly clean at the start of the shift.
I wish now that I asked how he did it.
We did not have NapiSan then but maybe he just used bleach.
I wear black in the bush...

Thanks for you're replies :)

I have tried Napisan - both making the post and soaking overnight - and Wondersoap but neither made any difference at all.

I'll keep researching! :?

Try hydrogen peroxide mixed with equal volume of water. Soak for an hour before wash.

One thing with all these aggressive stain removal is their potential damage to synthetic fibres and elastics... Can't win them all.

And probably why nobody mentioned Chlorine bleach which is the product for cotton
Must be some really stubborn substance there, so perhaps this is where UV can be your friend Just hang on the line for the next few days and see what happens
