TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Exped mat valve help.

Postby sambar358 » Sun 25 Mar, 2018 8:27 am

I have an older style Exped Downmat 7 (pre internal pump & flat valves) and both the inflation valves are leaking air at the screw-down cap and need to be replaced. I've sent Exped AU and International emails re this without a response at this stage. Anyone know where I can source a couple of these valves as per the pic below. The diameter of the valve body stem that is glued into the mat is 13.6mm. Thanks in anticipation & cheers

I had a feeling that all of these valves were approximations of each other and were interchangeable and any of the replacements available on hangers in the shops or eBay "Should" work
Ve are too soon old und too late schmart

Ther a Rest has a valve repair kit .
Maybe it will work with your mat.
Take a look at the video (towards the end of the clip)

Thanks for that Franco.....those Thermarest replacement valves look pretty much the same so I've emailed Bogong Equip. which has them listed in regards to the stem size and if the Thermarest one is around that 13.6mm diameter mark then I'll grab a couple for the Exped mat. Appreciate the heads-up. Cheers
