TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

MSR Pocket Rocket & CO & suitable pots

Rereading the BPL articles on CO production by Roger Caffin.
In it he recommends increasing the clearance from burner to pot.
Just looking now at packing my gear for Monday and wondering which LY stove to pack.
Then looking at LW pots and I notice that my TOAKS pot has a 4mm bump up in the middle, which effectively increases the clearance from burner to pot and that may be just enough to make the stove a little safer where CO production is concerned.
I can't remember from whom I bought but it does look as if the air intake holes have been drilled out larger on this S/H stove.
Just random thoughts as I pack
Ve are too soon old und too late schmart
