TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

This seller has them at half price and I do have some money available.
Is it worth taking the chance? I think that these were actually the MSR makers for a while and MSR sold this big tarp shelter using much brighter colours
Cheaper than a Coleman dome.
While I think I won't be doing many more big winter camp-outs having a big group shelter/cooking tent in my stash isn't a bad idea

I bought a 3f tent (Lanshan2) on a whim when I had worked an extra shift at work so had a little bit extra $.
I actually really like the tent and can't fault it's construction at all. Did seamseal the one point that was sewn through and not taped. In drought here, so no real world rain test yet.
I have used it 5 nights in total though but can't forsee any obvious failure points with more frequent use.

The tent has given me a bit of brand confidence with 3f, so if the tarp is priced well it could well be worth a go.

I might just use the money from the sale of my Moss tarp to fund one; I am hoping for some late, spirited bidding
