SEEKING SOME INNER SOLES

After some hard wearing and lightly padded inner soles for my bushwalking/running runners.
I have been using the 6mm thick ones that came with my Inov8 runners that are excellent, and a perfect blend of toughness and comfort-they last longer than the runners! Can't seem to find any anywhere for a reasonable price.
If I can get 400-500 kms that would be good-more even better. I cover a few ks per year so no matter how good they are if not durable they aren't going to work.
Not after anything too elaborate nor especially expensive ($10-$15 range max so I can try a few types), nor more than 6mm thick-this is the hard part as most are thicker.
Not after boot nor work boot type ones, nor memory foam but lightly spongy/dense/firmish and durable as possible please.
I'll be using them to both run and walk in my runners.
Should you have a link or know where I could find them that would be great also!
Ta for any suggestions.
G

Just looked them up-Fifty bucks!
Way beyond the budget-just out of curiosity, how long do they last? How many ks roughly?

Others might be able to give a distance... mine aren't close to wearing out but have only done maybe a few hundred km. Sorry that doesn't really help.

Ta anyway. Not really after anything that expensive. My Inov8 ones are cheaper to buy than $50 and last at least a thousand ks. Just hoping someone has something that meets my requirements in my first post.
Cheers.

I know these are 'memory foam', but they look thin and pretty neutral.

The next ones I have purchased in the past when my plantar fascitis was playing up, thinking they would support my arches, they were cheap though and the arch support was not anything much at all they flattened out to some very comfy insoles that I got maybe 500-850km out of. THe lack of arch support allowed me to take them out of my altras entirely as I had 'rehabbed' my foot.

Ta. Both links are to the same inners aren't they? How thick are they?

ooops,
no here are the ones that I had purchased, which was supposed to be the second link
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Orthotic-Sh ... SwJqpgHNPj

I did use various pairs of them for a while, the slight cushioning remained, but as I said the arch 'support' had a very short life, which turned out favourably for me as I was able to do away with any sort of insert/orthotic after using these as I transitioned to no arch support

Onya champion. The 3cm arch is a bit worrying for me but if it drops quite quick it might work. I've never used arch support at all.
Lots of them around the link you gave me so I'll have a good trawl.

Yes, met a couple on here just like you.

I just use the cheapish perforated supermarket inners. Which are hard but I like how they seem to stay cooler. I use two sets in one pair of shoes that needed to size up for width.. breezy and cushy!

Like me? You've lost me? I searched inner soles on this site and came up with practically nothing. Just a couple of references to Superfeet.
Have you got a link I can get some info from?

These one's, probably more the doubling up concept than these in particular (but they do last a long time):

Ah ha. Never seen anything like those, but I know the company still exists so I'll keep an eye out. The doubling up unfortunately doesn't work for me. I tried it and was slipping running down a steep hill. I did try it for a while seeing if I could make it work.

Some in today’s Aldi special buys. Maybe worth a try at $12.99.

I like those Aerolite insoles for summer but they also work in winter over my frost plugs. I should buy a new pair

Glue those puppies together?
Not that I've done it. But one crazy summer we all glued massage half-soles on to our Tevas :) (which made them grippy.. and kinda uncomfortable).

My double soling was in a pair of oversized meshy kayak shoes that were otherwise big enough for wetsuit socks.

Haha I love experimenting with stuff! That's excellent.
But I bash them as I said running and walking-(more bushrunning :D than bushwalking of late) don't know if they'd hold up.
Just logged on to say I've found something at a good price for me. When I clock up a hundred ks bushrunning over rock and all sorts of hard packed earth I'll give some feedback if anyone requests it, otherwise it's all over red rover.

My dad was a shoemaker by trade. He always told me that the very best inner soles were made with leather. But they needed to be composite leathers, a stiff sole tanned leather as the base and a softer leather on top. Maybe an extra added layer at the heel
It is now almost impossible to find good sole tanned leather and then you need the skills and tools to slice it down to the thickness required.
His tools all disappeared, his lasts and leather knives are gone now as well as his stash of leather offcuts and the ball of black bootmakers wax.
Leather insoles conform to the shape of your feet over time with heat and sweat.

These are great! A bit over your budget but way more comfy than superfeet any day. And cheaper.
