Great seeing everyone's setup and the variety of gear used. There's some seriously light kit becoming the norm.

My latest 3 season setup, weights are approximate.

OP McMillan 3000
MLD Duomid 1400 (with silnylon fly, solo inner, carbon fibre pole, tyvek groundsheet, pegs and guylines)
Synmat 7 UL with schnozzel pumpbag - 500
EE revelation 50f - 400
total - 5300

add 500g in winter when I take my WM Sycamore instead of quilt

If I know I have the room to pitch it and/or the weather looks miserable I've been taking my golite SL3 fly instead of the duomid fly, I have on the last two trips and it's been awesome to have all that space & it's just as easy to pitch. Doing this brings the weight up to 5600g, practically skipping along.

Camera gear is still the killer but the new camera setup almost halves the weight of my photography gear

There is an Osprey exos 58 on the wishlist which is the only change that I want to make, the McMillan is fantastic but simply too big for most of my trips. I find near the end of packing for a trip and with space to spare I tend to fill up the remaining space with whatever is lying around, nature abhors a vacuum...

Havent ever seen them listed on the HMG site.

Just looking closer at the photo - Were you running your corner and middle tie outs to one snow anchor or is it just the angle of ther photo? If so how did it go. Trying to minimise the amount of snow pegs I have to carry - without sacrificing strength/safety.

One off Ellobuddha, and it's a cracker of a tent. Yep you guessed right on the guys, but if you where in high wind I would just go back to the standard configuration. Here is how I set up inside. Tyvek sheet under a down mat 7 and 0 degree EE cuben quilt. Awesome set up, not cold, not wet and simple and light.

Nice trip. I'm not yet 100% sure if I'd take my trailstar to the snow (probably not).

Yep. It wasn't to warm either. Slept mostly in thermals and every night was comfortable.

Go some condensation when I had the mid dug in with snow around the perimeter but it froze, so a nice early pack up meant everything stayed dry. I would just wipe the inside with a chux when I set up at the next camp.

Here is a pic showing frozen condensation and pole set up. Note that I could leave the snow baskets on the poles because of the way the cup is designed.

With a recent delivery I can make a contribution to this thread, although its lightweight components maybe a little predictable.

Before:
Pack: macpac cascade 75l: 2.6kg
Modified Vaude ultralight tent : 1kg
Sleeping bag: one planet 1.5kg
Mat: thermarest prolite 650g.

Total 5.75kg

After:

Pack: zpacks arcblast 500g
Tent: vaude fly with poles and pegs plus zpacks splash bivy (can be used alone): 810g
Mat: large neo air 450g (better than my home bed)
Sleeping bag: zpacks 500g.

Total: 2260g

Considering swapping tent fly for tarp. Could change neo air for small, but happy for now.

I have not experienced any problems with using poles. I did how ever reverse the usual application.

Most would use their handle in the cup, but given this and the fact that I use BD poles that are not completely round I found it necessary to use the top pole in reverse. I have punched additional holes in the the straps provided for additional purchase as I found they slipped. Once done I have had no further problems. Moondog 55 has seen my tent erected and has also seen it still erected after a bit of a blow. Nothing serious, but enough to test equipments fortitude. I survived and went on to complete a 8 day sojourn around the Bogong.

As for the zipper, it works without fear or favour, regardless of weather.
