TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Yep. Good bang for buck that tent.

The mesh offers good ventilation for condensation in cool weather but also allows a cooling breeze in for the warmer months. I still say it's probably only 3 seasons at best, but for the price and weight, it is excellent.

I took it on a 12 day trip through the Prince Of Wales where we had everything from wind, 40degree days and snow, it performed very well. The small pack size is also very convenient.

My 4 season tent is a OP Goondie, but i find where i can, i go for the Ferrino.

A few pics from the Prince of Wales, and on more recently on Cathedral mtn.

Hi ILUVSWTAS! Thanks for your review. I have been considering the Ferrino Nemesis for my solo expedition on the overland track late March and was wondering if you thought it is sufficient for withstanding cold or extreme wind/storms, such as the extreme weather that took a life on the track last week. I understand it seems to be more for tropical camping but you also said it performed fine during snow. Do I actually need a four season tent or do you think this is enough? I'd appreciate your opinion!

Hi S_Walker.

For the OT the Nemesi would be fine. Especially in March. The snow we got on our trip when I had this tent wasn't heavy snow by any means, but it's unlikely you will encouter any art all let alone heavy snow in March, so yes, it would be ideal!!

Hope this helps and have a great adventure! :D

You can experience Snow on the OLT in March and in fact at any time of the year ,just not quite as heavy in summer :)

It was indeed Mic and it is a pity we have no takers for the next BWT get together this March :(
Guess what I proposed was a bit too tame for some or just conflicted with other arrangements :)

I am still using this tent and still really like it so thought I should re-visit this thread and post a few pics.

Many years on and the tent is still in good condition. I have been using it in a variety of conditions from coast to forest to mountain tops.

It would take a pretty amazing tent to stop me buying another one for 3 season use.
