Started typing in the topic below but may be of more general interest.
Corvus (and other...lesser..chefs' :D )
Anyone tried making/dehydrating soups?
As in homemade style (thinking about the outcome drying some of those soupy beans/lentils/pea's and stuff).
I have though of taking some of this stuff before but it can take forever for some of them to cook.
Surely this would be 'heartier' than crudanental. A chunky meal in itself?

I've eaten rehydrated soup which was home made and home dried by my brother. It was very good! He says that it takes ages to dry (as you'd expect), but the results were certainly worth it.

I don't have a recipe for you, unfortunately, but hopefully this will encourage others to give it a go. :-) I do remember that he made the obvious suggestion that you should use the minimum possible amount of water when making the soup in the first place (ie, just enough to mix it all together and cook it for the required amount of time without it burning or sticking).

I haven't tried soup myself but my dehydrating mentor swears by them. Sound advice to keep liquid levels limited for dehydrating or evidently it can get vey messy and a long process.
