Yes I was very happy to find our food stash un touched at Melalueca after a 6 days away of being wet and cold, our red wine and chocolate was untouched.
lovely. Everyone in the hut managed to get a share.

He's great. Same bloke who waited for Jones and Casey at the end of their unassisted south pole trip so all three could finish together: http://www.smh.com.au/travel/starving-a ... 1qlil.html

Gamme reached the South Pole a couple of days before them, and although they never sighted him as he took a different route back to Hercules Inlet, in a particularly noble gesture the Norwegian waited for the Australians, south of the inlet and they finished their journey together, arm-in-arm, ski poles lifted high in triumph.
