Cryovac Bags?

I've been cryovacing some dehydrated food for my next hike and I'm finding that the bags I have are being pierced by the sharp edges of the dried food, I have borrowed the machine and bags from a family member so I can't tell what brand the bag is? The gauge of plastic on the bags seems a little thin but not having done this before I have nothing to compare it to? Can anyone recommend a good cryovac bag and it's source?

G'day DannyS,
I have found that with some "sharp edged" stuff wrapping it in kitchen paper prevents it peircing the Sunbeam food saver bags which I have useing for a couple years .

I put my food in a small glad bag with a serviette in so it doesn't seal and than put that bag in the cryo bags. Works really well and have had no punctures.

I second the kitchen paper method.
You get to write on it what it is and how many serves before you wrap it all up (so you dont open the wrong bag up - hands up how many have done that before - me first).
You can even wipe your hands with it and wipe down the bench top to give it a lovely shine after your meal
But it seems to work well for me with little weight added (I am sure someone can tell me the weight of kitchen paper).

OK you got me 2 sheets of natural 100% recycled paper weighs on my my very accurate scales at 5gm
