How do you carry ryvitas, crackers, corn thins, sakatas ect without ending up with biscuit crumbs?

I only ever carry crackers on 1-2 night walks, usually with some wine & cheese to accompany.

I put them in a small plastic container; it takes practice to get the maximum number of crackers in So it does take up room, yes. I make sure something else is packed into the container once it's empty.

I pack them at the top of my pack, in the original box and inside a snaplock bag. Vitaweets are my cracker of choice as they are quite robust.

I use the 2 halves of 3litre milk bottles pushed together. Not full proof but will keep things from being too crushed. Very light and has adjustable size. I use a zip lock bag inside to keep things fresh.

Yes, I do the same with various sizes and shapes of bottles depending what I want to put in them.

I take Arnotts Cheds. They're robust enough in the original cardboard box not to break over week long walks. Just keep the box dry....

Never thought about it before, I just got used to eating the crumbs or I baked Tararua which simply do not crumb up, they do however crumble teeth

A lot of the time I take flat bread or wraps. When carrying biscuits I find that leaving them in their original packaging, especially if it is cardboard, seems to protect them quite satisfactorily. Timtams never carried long enough to create crumbs.

I do as well. I've got a few different sized boxes and use the appropriate size one according to how many biscuits I'm taking.

Don't use the lid, just take care in where the box is placed in the pack. And any spare room is filled with other stuff.

Like others I use hard plastic containers. They don't take up much extra space and don't weigh much, and you can be assured of uncrushed biscuits (I use them for all sorts of things, not just biscuits).

Make sure that you fill any extra space with other 'squishy' items (eg, zip-lock bag full of tea leaves, rice, etc). This will stop the bickies from rattling around, which can also cause crumbs, although not as much as actual squashing. You may need to put more squishy items in after a day or two of eating bikkies.
