Bush coffee in the age of the Atomic

Postby Lazy J » Tue 22 Aug, 2017 7:54 am

And now for something totally impractical to take on your next hike/camp! At 2kg the Atomic coffee machine adds a bit of weight but it makes an awesome cup of coffee and sure beats instant.

Yes, nice coffee, but impractical for sure.

There is already a quite lengthy thread which does include more practical ideas.

The solution for good coffee drinkers

Cool I'll check that thread out, anything to replace the dreaded instant coffee. Thanks RonK

[heretical thought] wouldn't it be simpler to just do without the caffeine fix while you're out bush? [heretical thought]

Given a reasonable condition silver Atomic is worth around $350-400 buggered if I'd take one camping!
Not the world's best espresso anymore either.

Given I think I last missed a day of coffee sometime in the mid 1990's I hardly think a bushwalk is going to stop me!

Given that I've never worshiped at the coffee altar, I think it qualifies as blasphemy, which Ambrose Bierce beautifully defined as "Your irreverence towards my deity."
