Anyone had experience in mailing food drops to post offices or accommodation through Aus post?
Was wondering if I can send my own mixes of stuff in zipocks, ready made meals, however as half the stuff we eat is in powdered form, and might look of dubious intentions through a depot scanner?
Or am I better off sending everything in its original packaging?
Thanks

When doing long distance hiking in the US and making up food drops I post food in its original packaging then decant it when I pick it up. Send the right amount of zip locks with your parcel. I have decanted and then posted and had a few mishaps as zip locks are usually not as sturdy as original packaging.

Good thinking.

i recently did this with a weeks worth of homemade dehydrated meals and sundries, sent it to a caravan park in tas(from melb), quick call to let them know when i would be collecting it
all sorted no problems
