2 Minute Noodles

Postby flyfisher » Wed 30 Jan, 2008 8:21 pm

2 Minute noodles can be made very yummy with the addition of cup "o" soup as extra flavouring. Good ones to try are french onion or spicy tomato.

Can be ready in 2 or 3 minutes as well. Enjoy

Love your recipe " ff " we use a two min noodle dish as breakfast ,maggie chicken flavour and chicken noole cup a soup makes a really good start the day and can keep you going til lunch and best of all it is inexpensive ,the new Lowan Cup of Oats (just add boiling water ) is a good substitute but would need two to give the same as the noodle dish .
Lowans cost $4.20 for 4 bags each bag weighs 40g inc pkt--- noodle and soup weighs around 125g so taking into consideration time taken to boil water mix with oats as opposed to my favorite noodle/soup boil mix and cook for at least 2 mins the Oats wins out for weight saving ,the porrige is ok BUT ITS NO HOW YE MAKE PORRIDGE the noodle dish tastes better INHO so the choice is weight or whatever ! its really subjective :)

Are we draining excess liquid off or eating these as a soup? I love the indome mi gorend 2 min noodles. THey are eaten dry with liquid drained off. They have extra flavour sachets so probably weigh more, but damn they are good poo.

I've not tried them drained ,but I use minimum water.I eat as noodles rather than soup, with the soup being added for extra (gourmet) flavor.

Probably get SWMBO into trouble if served up at home  but in the bush....... :D :D :D
