My GPS won't turn on, anyone had this problem? I feel lost without it.

Flat battery? corroded battery contacts? Remember its a handheld computing device and there may be a process for resetting or re-booting it if the system gets corrupted. Check your instruction manual for any trouble shooting tips. Post the brand and model, and there may be another forum member with the same one that can assist.

Google can also be your friend for that type of problem. Just enter your GPS brand and model number along with appropriate search terms like "hung" "crashed" "frozen".

Is it a Garmin ? Some earlier models have a weird setup for the batteries where (for one battery only) the spring is at the POSITIVE end of the battery. May not be the cause but traps a few folk every now and then. Just check the polarity stamped on the unit.
