I'm a stick in mud: I like to use a paper map and a compass. About the only function I use on my old Garmin eTrex is the screen that displays (in about 4 point type ) the grid reference of my currrent location. I use it occasionally to check that I am where I think I am. But I am no longer in the first flush of youth and the display is getting veeery hard to read.
I'd really like to get a GPS that uses the whole screen to say, in numbers 10 mm high, 5312 59216 and I'd know that Johnston Hut is amongst those trees down there.
Anyone know of an easy-to-read GPS for a bloke with specs, hearing aids and grey hair?
