Nice photo. Was there about 2 years ago. It's worth doing, a good short walk of about 5 or 6 km return. Fairly solid ~500m ascent. Traverses a variety of terrain including an interesting climb up through a steep boulder field. You have walk to the other side of the plateau on top to locate the summit. On approaching the top we met a couple coming back down and stopped for chat. They were from one of the local bushwalking clubs, possibly Launceston but my memory is hazy.

February Photo Competition Discussion - Maiden Voyage

Postby Joe » Wed 20 Feb, 2008 1:32 pm

This thread is for all discussion of the photos or anything relating to the entries thread. Please do not post in the other thread unless you are posting a photo. This will make end of month judging etc much easier.

Cheers!

That's a good collection of photos for the first month of the competition series. Seems to be a bit of a fencing/farmyard theme this month! :-)

I agree. The standard of photos is excelent in fact seeing as this is first comp. I am just sorting some things out, the poll will be up tomorrow at latest.

If I had to call it at this stage I reckon Mickey or TAZDAZ are going to be very close. Mr Walkintas has awesome composition, just needs more pop, and tasadams is great exposure but i find the fences draw my eye into the trees in middle rather than into the mountain. Lovely colours and exposure on this one though. It really will be a close competition. Thanks all that entered again, Hopefully next month I can pull out an image for consideration :D

So when will the voting be closed and the winner officially announced?
Same goes for the March comp vote I suppose...
