I'd go for this, but not in a fixed lens camera.

Which means: New Camera and new line of lenses. At the speed Sony releases lenses we're talking years for a useful system.

Entirely new lens geometrics. That means it won't even work with an adaptor.

The plus is that the lenses should be much lighter and simpler to build, and therefore be cheaper.

Sounds like it'll be backed by a new range of cameras and lenses. Smartphones may be the biggest beneficiary though.
