Lytro Illum

Postby Aushiker » Sat 20 Sep, 2014 3:38 pm

Steve Huff has a review coming up on a Lytro Illum ... differently interesting type of camera, if nothing else. Not sure I would like to pay the sort of dollars being asked but. Thoughts on it?

Needs more maturity and integration with existing photography technology. Definitely on the forefront. Oh, more storage HDD space required on owners' end. ;)
Just move it!

Read the specs. It has a crop factor of 3.19 and weighs 940g. Minimum zoom is 30mm equivalent. Rear screen is 480 x 800 pixels. Export image size is 2450 pixels.

The refocus tech is interesting, but this isn't going to stand up to a decent current mirrorless class bush walking camera (yet)
