Park pass

Postby Ant71 » Mon 18 Jul, 2016 5:20 pm

Hi all we are looking at starting the walk on 19/9/16. We are spending the night at Lake St Clair the night before and we have arranged transport to Cradle Mountain for the 19th. We are going to get our park pass on the Spirit of Tasmania on the way over. We were looking up some stuff and we realised we need to leave the pass in the car at Lake St Clair but we also need it at Cradle Mountain. My wife has said that we can get a duplicate from the office at Lake St Clair but the office opens at 8:30 and we are getting picked up at 8:00. If any has any suggestions they would be most welcome TIA. :)

I was at cradle last week and they looked up my rego number without actually looking at the pass (stuck on the windscreen in the carpark) to issue a shuttle ticket. Maybe just take a photo on your phone etc to be sure ?

I'd leave the one in your car, then get them to print you a duplicate at Cradle.

They looked my parks pass up once when I visited from Melbourne in a hire car, and they just gave me a temporary one for the time I was going to be in the park.

I have always got one for my car and one for my wifes car when I have purchased a parks pass. This is because sometimes I drive her car in parks too. There is no extra charge, and there is room on the form to request a sticker for an extra vehicle (or two!).

Can't you just buy it online?

I presume you then print it out and attach it to the car, person, etc.
