Daytime gear drop

Wed 02 Jan, 2019 5:04 pm

Howdy,

Im heading up to do Barn Bluff and Ingliss soon. Ill be camping at Waterfall Valley afterwards. Id like to drop some camping gear including some food (but NOT my emergency meal!) at the Barn/Waterfall track junction to minimise weight for the climb and fight sections. I have a thick PVC dry bag to place the food in. Its not going to be left over night, only for about 8 hours while I do Barn/Ingliss. Im wondering if the local wildlife will still get through this? Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

Cheers

no suggestions for that but dont forget you can book the platform at Waterfall that is designated for ppl not doing the olt.
Another option is to drop down to to Lake Will and camp at Innes Falls.

Should be fine during daylight, only the birds try to get in then (so no zippers that they can undo?).
