Helsport Tents Now Available in Australia

Postby Chris-Toms Outdoors » Wed 30 Mar, 2016 2:02 pm

Hi All,
I'd like to introduce Helsport Tents to the Australian Market. I am now the exclusive retailer for Helsport in Australia. It is a project that I have been working on for sometime. Helsport Tents benchmark very well against the much loved Hilleberg Tents. Helsport is a Norwegian family owned company manufacturing tents since 1957. They are not as well known amongst English speaking markets as their main competitor Hilleberg. I am hoping that I can change that in regard to the Australian market.
I am only a small independent retailer and it has been a pleasure working with Helsport to bring their tents to Australia. I can offer local service and support for their products. We are still waiting on some of our stock to arrive but today we received our first main delivery (although I've had a couple of their tents in country for testing for a while now). We are able to special order any of their range. Please contact me if you are after something special.
See our Helsport Here.
Our Helsport Buying Guide and Details page here.
Please don't hesitate to ask me any questions.
Cheers
Chris

Thanks Simon,
Yeah some interesting tents. They've got some cool design features to, I'm super impressed with the fly first pitch but with the pole sleeve on the inside of the fly instead of the outside like Hilleberg. Its so simple and makes everything much cleaner and the fly tighter.
I'm super excited about the Varanger Camp. I got the first one in store and I very quickly took it home for 'testing". I've done my first test and burnt the oils off the stove. I can't wait for a cold night in the mountains to light the stove up inside the tent. I'm so desperate to give a go i think it'll probably be set up in the backyard and i'll be camped in it with my 3year old.

Yes I liked the look of the Varanger as well.

Pole on the inside seems to make a lot of sense.

Hey Chris, they look nice!

Just a heads up I think the Reinsfjell Superlight 2 Blue has the wrong picture on the page you linked. It shows a tunnel design but then once clicked to it's a freestanding tent.

Thanks for the heads up, i've removed the offending pic and changed the order around.
I also realised that our lightweight tunnel the Fjellheimen Superlight 2 wasn't being displayed on the site.

The tents that are currently listed as out of stock will be part of our normal range but are yet to arrive in country.

That is a beast of a tent. Nice location too. I know of a few people who would be quite keen on that tent.

It's awesome :) The photos were taken up on the Blowering Dam foreshore. Great place for fishing and water skiing. Talbingo Dam (the next one up the system is my favourite) but Blowering is only 15mins from town so a great place for a few photos.

Are you going to be stocking the liners in the future?
How much are you selling the stoves for??

To start with I am just selling the Varanger Camp as a complete package. So it includes the Fly, Inner, Floor, and Stove. The photos show everything but without the floor fitted. I haven't set the aus retail prices stoves by themselves are about $700.
I am able to source anything from the entire Helsport range. I have no problems with special ordering any products from Norway for customers. To start with I will only stock a small range of their products but as demand grows and the brand develops within Aus we will gradually expand the range.

I'm going to try and save enough to buy the stove for next winter; far more important for my winter camping than a new UL tent
A review of the stove in the appropriate pert of the forum giving burn times and how clean it burns etc: would be appreciated too
