In stock down quilts

Postby undercling-mike » Sun 04 Sep, 2016 11:35 pm

This is a thread to advertise currently in stock and ready to ship down quilts that have been available on a made to order basis in my other thread: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=21674 see that thread for more information about the quilts. Made to order quilts with a choice of available fabrics, down and footbox options are of course still going to be available by sending me a PM.

The currently in stock quilts will be listed in my latest update post in this thread so please scroll to the end of the thread to find information on currently available quilts. If you'd like to buy one of the quilts then please send me a PM for further details or post in this thread. Postage is flat rate $14 express mail within Australia, contact me for international rates and any special requests.

Cheers,
Michael

The patterns definitely do add some visual interest to the quilts and there should be scope for some pretty creative stuff in the future. Having said that I do also think the 'plain' colour fabrics can look very nice as well.

Hi Mike I'm interested in a double quilt in the tundra geo cam. I know you aren't making doubles yet but when you do ... Also can I suggest you add to your original post in this thread the image from your other thread that shows how the quilt straps works with the sleeping pad?
Cheers
A couple of dags and their pooch who live by the beach in their home named 'Dag Sands', of course.

Great suggestion, I'm actually not able to edit the original post but I'll add a bit about the pad straps here.

This picture shows how the pad straps are placed on the sleeping pad. Each strap has two flat buckles which mate with buckles sewn to the edge of the quilt, these buckles hold the edges of the quilt tucked underneath you but on top of the pad. The position of the buckles on the straps can be moved depending on whether you want the quilt tightly tucked around you or if you want more room but they tend not to move unless you deliberately move them, so it won't loosen during the night. Use of the straps isn't mandatory for using the quilt but they are a good aid depending on your sleep style.

To a very happy and impressed customer I may add :D
I can see why everybody who has purchased one of Mike's quilts raves about them and am looking forward to hopefully field testing mine this weekend.

Got another stock quilt ready to go. This one is a second because there was a small cut put in the fabric during the cutting process so it's available at a bit of a discount. I've patched the cut and it won't have any bearing on performance, see pictures for the cut and the patch job.

The quilt is a -8C quilt with zip/drawcord footbox and filled with 850 fill HyperDRY duck down. The shell fabric is Burnt Orange Argon 90 and the liner is Navy Membrane 10. Price is $400 + postage.

I'm going to be away till mid January but the quilt mentioned above and the Macaw Green/ Saddle Brown -2C quilt previously listed are with a family member and ready to go so they can still be shipped out while I'm away. Just note it might take a bit longer for me to respond to messages for the next few weeks.
