Been using the new e-lite, for a few nights camping. Good upgrade, improved localised lighting. Wonder, as an emergency light, if having the original 3 LED emitters (rather than one) is more fail-safe, a passing thought. Can't say iv'e needed the red led strobe yet, on the V1, other than on the back of a bike helmet. Nice option to have I guess.

The prices seem quite good. I am in for a new eLite - misplaced my last one. I am also getting the Zipka for my partner and will source a Core battery for it elsewhere. I have the old Core system in my TikkaXP and like it a lot.

Nuts - The led itself is highly unlikely to die. If anything goes it will be the electronic components in the driver.
