PATAGONIA SALE

Postby Lamont » Sat 25 Aug, 2018 10:18 am

I have found an excellent combination (finally) for active breathable (especially) under a rain jacket, under a rucksack, to about 2 or 3 degrees to minimise sweat.
Patagonia Men's Cap Lightweight T-Shirt (their lightest base)-for me a Medium (quite tightish) I find the tiny grid pattern perfect for moving sweat but retaining warmth worn under the same top in Large -not loose but not too tight-just right! Slept in this combo last night in a single wall tent at 2C with Aldi merino leggings in my quilt and was bordering on being too warm.
the combo M and L weighs 170 grams and the best bit is you have two layers you can manipulate.
Both on sale now if the price suits about $88 with free delivery.
Cold below 0 (about -2) with wind chill, in rain, I had the tshirt under a Cap Thermalweight HOODY under Columbia Outdry EX.
Gives you great variety and can easily be worn in warm weather as well.
I see it as 2 excellent layers which can be twisted and turned for any season against the cost of 1 heavier layer which may be restricted to cold/coolish weather based on that price.
Buona fortuna

Thanks for the heads up, Lamont.

I love my lightweight Cap top and bottom for sleeping in. I might grab a tee to use while walking.

Cheers!

No worriesS, hope you can get a bargain. "Paintbrush red" is closer to orange-I like it.
