Ottie Merino - Australian Made Merino Hiking Clothing

Hi all. Some of you might remember me as @paul_gee from back in the day. I was the resident Snowys lurker.

Anyways, I'm out doing my own thing nowadays. Soon to launch a new merino brand called Ottie Merino. We'll be launching with a short-sleeve tee. (Oh, and I run the Facebook group that some of you are probably on, Hiking in Australia & New Zealand. Hiiii.)

"Another short sleeve merino tee?" I hear you say. Well, here's a bit about us:

- Ethically made in Melbourne
- Mulesing-free Australian wool
- 160-165gsm 100% merino
- Our first line of tees are a nice relaxed fit with a little bit of length to them to stop ride up when you're wearing a pack and easy tucking when you're wearing a fleece or jacket
- Small, independant, Aussie owned and operated business
- Designed by hikers (me and my partner) for hikers (that's you lot)
- AND, we're going to be accessible priced at $85*

* That's going to be our firm, everyday price. We're not interested in playing the price 'em high, discount 'em hard sort of games you see in this industry. We're about transparency and upfrontness. Also, I haven't yet whispered the price. You guys are the first to hear it!

Haha. Definitely not pink. We're going to start neutral—black, indigo, dark green, and maybe a maroon—and if we get the support we need to chug along, we'll get creative with our colour options.

Interestingly, the feedback we're getting from women is that they're sick of the women's options being all bright and colourful while the men's stuff is more neutral and appropriate. Hence, our women's tops will be exactly the same colour as our men's.

Insects tend to be attracted to some colours. May want to have the 'sand' colour as things tend to take on the colour of the earth and an off white for sun reflection in desert use?
