Loddon River Campsites

Postby proskub » Mon 08 May, 2017 4:51 pm

Anyone been up Frenchmans lately? What are the campsites at Loddon River like now? They were overgrowing a bit when I was last there a few years ago, and I'm guessing not many people use them now the new track is in...

When I was there last, we actually camped right beside the track, (and even under the bridge!) on the northern side because we arrived late. It was only on the way back that we discovered some clearings on the southern side. This was a while ago now though, so this info may be irrelevant.

The campsites over the bridge are good. Just hang a right turn as soon as you have crossed the river.
Quite flat and open and a really nice little place to spend the night.
