King William Range to Richea Creek

Wed 28 Feb, 2018 3:51 pm

Thinking about a trip from Lake King William to Richea Creek via King William Range and the Gordon River by pack raft. The lack of information makes me think it's probably not a go to destination for a reason. Has anyone recently walked past the old airstrip and does anyone know what the Gordon is like upstream of the Gell River? I assume that it needs a fair bit of water to worth the trip in.

Please PM me any info. Cheers

I've thought about this trip too. I can only imagine the first 5-10km would be difficult.

Judging by the amount of logs that can be seen on the state aerial photos I agree. According to Paddle Tasmania the river opens up downstream of the Teneriffe Marshes.
