Bay of Fires multi-day walk with kids?

Postby Son of a Beach » Tue 06 Mar, 2018 5:22 pm

I am thinking of walking the Bay of Fires with kids soon. I’ve camped in several locations along there but have never walked it. So I know very little about what’s between the well used camp areas apart from the roads.

I hope to do three days of walking and to avoid any significant river crossings that might require swimming.

Has anybody here done anything similar?

Where would be the best place to start and finish? Through walk or there and back? Any particular obstacles or issues I should be aware of?

Is it all on the beaches and adjoining headlands?

Any good track notes?

How about good camp sites? (I’ve camped at Humbug Pt, Seatons Cove, Sloop Pt, Policemans Pt, Eddystone Pt, Stumpys Bay and maybe others I’ve forgotten, but are there any others I should know about?)
