Transport from Walls of Jerusalem to Launceston

Postby Crimmo » Wed 15 Aug, 2018 9:39 pm

Hi, Looking for recommendations on transport out of the Walls of Jerusalem on the 9th Oct back to Launceston. I have been quoted $500 for two people, anyone have thoughts in relation to this being a fair guide, seems a little expensive.

Call around a few different operators. Most companies have a minimum cost and therefore the more people travelling the lower the per person cost. For 2 people it can be quite expensive - some operators have a notice board which provides details of others travelling by date so you can book the same and share costs. The cost of $500 seems about right as a minimum cost but test it.

Sounds a bit high if one way only. Try Paul Grigg at Outdoor Tasmania, their current OLT prices below. Walls would be similar (I think) from memory. I used him for WOJ both ways quite a few years ago and the service was very good. We managed to get a reduced price at the time by sharing with some OLT walkers for the outward trip and dropping them off first.

They also have a message board of booked trips that you can link up with, although nothing listed for the Walls at present.
