Headed for the Apple Isle on Saturday via the PoT
If there are any recommendations I'll try and get The Boss out of the car for a short walk or three depending on Ceciles fatigue levels. We only have 2 weeks and Salamanca Market and MONA have priority on this trip. Car glamping and pub stay with a few nites in Hobart city already booked

The Russel Falls walk at Mt Field is wheelchair friendly. The drive up to Lake Dobson is also nice to make the drive from Hobart worthwhile.

Stepscape lists 78 walks (from 68 different starting points) that are possibly suitable for wheelchairs.

When you get to Stepscape, click on Filter, then Tags and find Wheelchairs.
Some of the Wheelchair walks are quite short, but 41 are over 500m, and 23 more than 1km.
The longer ones are mostly close to Hobart, Launceston and Devonport, where there are a few walk/cycle tracks that are quite good, but not real "bush". However, there are some good walks in real bush that you can get in to in a wheelchair.

How long has that been an option?
If I've been paying for passes since I moved down while it's actually free, I'm going to be seriously pissed off.

EDIT: OK, you have to be 60, so I've only been eligible for a year. Now, to organise a Seniors Card and see what it gets me (probablly diddly squat of any interest). Sometimes being old isn't worth the trouble.

I think it only came in this year. The pass is only valid to 30 June 2019 but for me it nicely fills in for my 2019 trip as my current pass expires in Jan 2019 (2 year pensioner pass is cheaper than 3 x tourist passes) and the trip is Feb-March. Hopefully it may be repeated in the 2019 budget - just tell any pollie you meet that you thought it was a progressive move and would sway your vote - make sure fingers are crossed behind your back.

Always worth having a Seniors Card as it works throughout Australia. Especially useful if using public transport but usually a few dollars off your rego at worst.

We asked for the free card but never used it. Cecile was too fatigued to do any walking really. We did however do the quick tour of the cave at Mole Creek which she survived
